Verehrte Frau Jakoby, liebe Gerhild,

obwohl schon einige Tage verstrichen, denken und sprechen wir noch immer von dem Erlebnis mit den wilden Tieren und dem Aufenthalt in Ihrer Lodge.
Der Dank kommt sehr spät.

Der Grund: Auf der Fahrt von der Lodge zum Eingang sahen wir Zebras und Büffel. Büffel, obwohl Sie uns sagten, dass diese „ausgelagert“ wurden. Auch der „Pförtner“ lachte vornehm, als wir ihm von den Büffeln erzählten. Jetzt konnten die geschossenen Bilder im PC ausgewertet und bearbeitet werden. Die Büffel waren Gnus. Blamabel….

Auf diesem Weg wollen wir Ihnen noch einmal ein herzliches Dankeschön sagen. Die Mühe uns zwei über die Schotterstraßen zu den Tieren zu fahren, Ihr profundes Wissen über die Tier- und Pflanzenwelt, das Sie, mit für uns verständlichen Worten, weiter gaben, das hervorragend Ambiente Ihrer Lodge, und nicht zuletzt das ausgezeichnete Essen in der Lodge und im Gelände. Das Alles war für uns ein tolles Erlebnis. Dafür noch einmal Danke.

Dear Gerry,

We arrived OK after only slight flight delay - the worst was to move from 30C+ in Pringle to 1C- in London (the warmest it has been here for a fortnight!)
We are still glowing with pleasure at the whole WLL experience, wonderful even for unwedding folk but so much enhanced for us. You really made it a special day for us, quite unforgettable.

Please say a special hullo from us to Kevin, and also thank Dadel and your other so helpful and welcoming staff members.

Hi Geri

We do hope you enjoyed your time in Germany with your family. (We were sorry to have missed you while we were there in South Africa.) Ray and I just wanted to say to you how much we enjoyed our time at Glen Abbey, whatsmore we really had a wonderful time at Sanbona. Frank and Annette worked so hard to make sure our stay was wonderful. Our 40th wedding anniversary will be remembered by all of us as a fab day. I'm sure you are well ensconced back into your work by now, time goes so quickly doesn't it? Again thankyou for everything.

Hallo Gerhild und Frank,

nachdem nun schon einige Monate ins Land gezogen sind, daß wir unseren Traumurlaub bei Euch verbracht haben, möchten wir uns nochmals ganz herzlich für die liebe Aufnahme in Glen Abbey und in Sanbona in der White Lion Lodge bedanken. Wir zehren immer noch von diesen Erlebnissen.

Die Wohnung in Glen Abbey ist excellent und erste Sahne. Die Einrichtung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Euer Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer guter Laune.

Zu Sanbona können wir ebenfalls nur die beste Note vergeben. Auf der Safari haben wir Elefanten, Löwen, Springböcke, Zebras, Hippos, Nashörner, Giraffen u.v.a. gesehen. Diese Erinnerung bleibt und wir freuen uns, bald wieder unseren Urlaub bei Euch zu buchen.

Gerhild, Du und Frank, Ihr seid wunderbare Gastgeber. Nachmals vielen Dank für die freundliche Aufnahme. Wir werden Euch weiter empfehlen.

Geri, hope you had a pleasent and relaxing trip to Europe We had really enjoyable stays at Glen Abbey,as usual,and a truly memorable stay at White Lion Lodge. The whole concept,design and attention to detail is exceptional,5 star comfort, and friendly atmosphere,in totally natural unspoiled surroundings. The game viewing drives,were excellent,with plenty of animals,the highlights being the white rhinos, white lions and being totally surrounded by 12 elephants, some almost at touching distance. Special words of thanks to Annette for the tremendous job she did with the cooking,to Frank,alias Michael Schum..in his dual role of mine host/apprentice game ranger,to Andrew for his very informative all day game drive and last but not least Daryl who does a great job Hope to see you again in the not too distant future
